Sundays Are Honest

Sunday is my favourite day of the week.

My family and I sleep in, then wake up, go to church, and go about our day.

I usually eat too much, watch sport, and take a nap. Whoever you are, Sunday reveals it.

Sunday evening is probably the most honest part of the day. Whatever you feel about your work, school, or project, Sunday evening will reveal it. A few years ago, it became an ambition of mine to find work that didn’t give me that knot in my stomach on a Sunday night. This was easier said than done, as we were in the middle of moving countries, and earning money was crucial.

Pay attention to that feeling on a Sunday evening—it tells you something important. It can be scary to take the plunge, especially when you have responsibilities. However, there is usually a step you can take towards your true calling.

A few small steps, and before you know it, you’ve taken a big one. Don’t wait too long, or that calling may start to fade.
